How to Unlock Display Capture & Camera in TikTok Live Studio

TikTok Live Studio on PC or laptop doesn’t always give you access to the Display Capture and Camera features right away.

"Unlock display capture by going LIVE on LIVE Studio 3 more times for 25 minutes each. Validation may take up to 48 hours." 

Here’s how you can unlock them quickly.

Why You Don’t See Display Capture & Camera

If you just installed TikTok Live Studio, some features stay locked until you meet certain streaming requirements.
TikTok uses this to make sure you’re an active streamer before enabling advanced options.

The Unlock Method

Follow these steps:

1. Go Live 3 Times — Each session must be at least 25 minutes long.

2. Example schedule:

   • Session 1: Start at 7:00 PM → End at 7:30+ PM

   • Session 2: Later that day, another 25+ minutes

   • Session 3: Same day or different day, still 25+ minutes

3. Complete All 3 Sessions — You can do all three in the same day.

4. Wait for Validation — Usually 40–48 hours, but some users get it in less than 24 hours.

Real Example

On August 5, 2025, I streamed a PC game for three sessions of over 25 minutes each.
By the next day, August 6, Display Capture and Camera features were automatically unlocked in TikTok Live Studio.

Final Tip

Be patient during the validation period — don’t reinstall the app or change your streaming settings until the unlock happens.
